what makes me start a blog??

i've heard bout creating your own blog a long time ago.but it never crossed my mind till now.i thought that its cool to write your feelings, your emotions or things that happen around you everyday here.its like an online diary.but do you know that there's a risk for blogging?last night i was at my friend's room and i stumbled upon her roommate's COSMOPOLITAN mag and i read everything inside (i used to read every piece of word in mags, newspapers, book and anything thats readable). then i found this one page,it says becareful with your online social web and stuff that you write online (myspace, friendster, facebook, tagged, blogs and so on..)because nowadays, when you apply for jobs, your employer-to-be is smart enough to investigate you online.this is their way to find out everything bout you when they are choosing the best candidate for the job they are offering.what they saw you online is what they will think of what kind of person you are.i mean you may want to share your hanging out or your wild party pictures with your friends on myspace but becareful.you may not want unwanted people to see those.if your online personality is a lesbo and wild, your boss might think of the same thing.(they dont know who you really are, so to them, what they see, is what you really are).
there are cases where a boss is finding out about its new employee in his myspace and it turns out that he was rejected because in there, he wrote that he never believed in any religion.that sucks!! another case is where a book writer writes in her blog about her sexual experience but using a different name on her blog.then people started coming in to visit her blog and she gets famous. then the truth starts to come out.people soon realized that it was her and her family, loved ones, ex boyfriend, friends and people around her knows their name in that blog (she changed every name of people she wrote about). she's in trauma since that happens and in great pain. at home people stop accepting her and she had to move to Los Angeles to begin a new life.
do you know how your boss finds out about you?
try search your own name on google, yahoo or msn.then you will see your name appearing.
i have tried this and it works.i put myself as a boss and i do feel that i need to change my profile.
you should repair yours too if you feel that it will effect your future.

or you can set the mode to 'private' so they can never open it.or try www.reputationdefender.com or www.naymz.com to protect your online-self
